High performance hand protection solutions on Globus stand at Caspian exhibition in Baku
A selection of high performance hand protection solutions will be displayed by Globus, a world leader in protecting hands on stand 1014, at the International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition in Azerbaijan. This international event will be held on 2-5 June 2015.
The Caspian Oil & Gas conference and exhibition is the largest event for the energy sector in the region. This is a major event in the international oil and gas industry’s calendar and attracts key decision makers working on oil and gas projects right across the Caspian region. Globus will be one of over 250 companies exhibiting there.
It is essential that workers across the oil and gas sector protect their hands, with gloves playing an important role in optimising hand safety. In the oil and gas industry, gloves need to be chosen to match the hazards and the task, as well as worker requirements so that the job can be carried out without restriction. The right choice of glove should impact positively on the company’s hand accident rates and if it is durable, this should last longer than some other inferior products.
Globus has developed effective hand protection solutions to perform in extreme climates and to protect from impact, chemicals, cuts, abrasion, water and punctures. As well as reducing the risk of hand accidents, the specialist gloves help to provide powerful grip in wet and oily handling conditions. They should also be comfortable to wear and provide an ergonomic fit. This can reduce the incidence of workers removing gloves who find them uncomfortable and subsequently putting themselves at risk.
Steve Shale, Marketing Manager of Globus said, “We are delighted to be showcasing our hand protection solutions containing innovative technology at The Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition. Oil and gas workers shouldn’t be at risk of hand injuries caused by ineffective PPE. When hand safety challenges are analysed, specific task-related gloves can be specified to meet the rigorous requirements of the oil and gas industry, protect hands and enhance productivity too. This is definitely good for the business budget.”
In conjunction with Health and Safety teams, Globus can help build bespoke hand protection policies for organisations operating in this sector. The Globus range fulfils all legal obligations to provide safe PPE in the workplace, contributing to widespread wearer acceptance, while simultaneously delivering value for money.
